Cast iron manhole cover is manufactured by Junyue for grooved piping systems, fire protection networks, and industrial fluid handling. Constructed from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536, rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 PSI, and available with UL and FM approvals.

Manhole cover is used to cover the deep wells on the road or at home to prevent people or objects from falling. It is used for outdoor wells inside industrial and civil construction areas, and can also be used for water supply and drainage wells, ventilation wells, etc. It can also be used for green belts, sidewalks, motor vehicle lanes, docks, alleys, etc.
Manhole covers are generally circular, because circular manhole covers are not easy to tilt and can better protect the safety of pedestrians and vehicles. The use of a circular shape is mainly due to the fact that the length of each diameter of the circular manhole cover through its center is the same. In this way, if the manhole cover is rolled up by a passing vehicle, no matter how it is rolled up, its diameter will be slightly wider than the wellhead below, and the manhole cover will not fall into the wellhead. It can withstand high-speed traffic of large traffic flows, and can also prevent the entry of vehicles, pedestrians and foreign objects, ensuring the normal operation of underground pipelines and equipment.

This Junyue grooved piping component is engineered for seamless compatibility with Victaulic Style 07 and Grinnell system layouts. Verify pipe OD, groove profile, gasket compound, pressure class, and project approvals before specifying as a replacement.

Application limits
- Can it be used for steam above 150 C?
- No. Do not use for steam above 150 C unless a written project-specific approval, rated gasket, and compatible body material are confirmed.
- Can it replace any grooved fitting without checking pipe OD?
- No. Pipe OD, groove standard, working pressure, gasket material, and certification scope must be matched.
- Is it suitable for potable water by default?
- No. Potable water use requires confirmation of coating, gasket compound, local sanitary approval, and project compliance.
- Can it be used in corrosive chemical service?
- Not by default. Chemical compatibility must be verified against the medium, concentration, temperature, and coating system.
